Greetings everyone! I hope 2018 is treating you well so far. It’s been very cold and dry here in Oklahoma, which can obviously make for some very irritated skin. But Norman has actually been doing pretty well. He’s finished the medication for the mites issue and that has definitely helped. The spot is still visible
Yesterday, we took Norman to the vet for a few different reasons. One, he was due for another Cytopoint shot. But the main reason for the visit was due to some scaly, red areas on his back. He had that infected, yeasty smell again so we knew something was up. Turns out, he has mites.
Last week, Norman received another Cytopoint shot. We also brought home some Apoquel to use occasionally as a supplement to the shot. It seems to be working pretty well actually. Maybe he will get a little time to heal. Maybe he will feel a bit better for a few weeks at least. Oh, what’s that?
