Greetings everyone! I hope 2018 is treating you well so far. It’s been very cold and dry here in Oklahoma, which can obviously make for some very irritated skin. But Norman has actually been doing pretty well. He’s finished the medication for the mites issue and that has definitely helped. The spot is still visible
Norman would like to wish you all a very Merry (itch free) Christmas and upcoming New Year! We launched this site in January 2017 having no idea what the response would be, if any. And so far, it’s been great! We enjoy hearing from you and your pups. Whether it’s through this site, Facebook, Twitter,
Yesterday, we took Norman to the vet for a few different reasons. One, he was due for another Cytopoint shot. But the main reason for the visit was due to some scaly, red areas on his back. He had that infected, yeasty smell again so we knew something was up. Turns out, he has mites.
Most of the time, my blog posts are simple updates on Norman’s current skin condition and level of itchiness. And rightfully so. The site is called Itchy Frenchie after all. But from time to time, as I’m trying to come up with some new and interesting blog posts, I often sit down at the computer
This week Itchy Frenchie became an affiliate for Only Natural Pet and Cherrybrook pet supplies. Both companies sell high quality, all natural products for your pup! Click on the banners below to check out their food, supplements, and accessories. I’ll try to link to some special offers soon as well. Enjoy!
If you follow us on Instagram, then you’ve probably seen this picture already. I posted it yesterday. Most of the photos are in black and white, because those are Norman’s best colors. If you are on Instagram, please give us a follow and say hi! So in the previous update, I told you about Norman’s
Last week, Norman received another Cytopoint shot. We also brought home some Apoquel to use occasionally as a supplement to the shot. It seems to be working pretty well actually. Maybe he will get a little time to heal. Maybe he will feel a bit better for a few weeks at least. Oh, what’s that?
Wow, what a month May has been. I realize it’s been about 3 weeks since the last blog post but it has been a busy month around Itchy Frenchie headquarters. Not so much for Norman, although he did receive his 3rd Cytopoint shot. But for the humans of the household, it was the busiest time
It has been super busy around here the last few weeks but I wanted to give a quick update on Norman and link to a short post comparing different atopic dermatitis treatments. As you can see from the picture, the effectiveness of the Cytopoint shot seems to have diminished greatly. He remains pretty itchy and the skin
Another quick Cytopoint update for Norman. It has been about 5 weeks since he started the injections. He’s on his 2nd round and overall, he’s doing pretty good. However, the itching definitely hasn’t disappeared. Although we didn’t really expect him to not itch at all because, well then what would I write about? The biggest concern
